So they are married now and Mr. Wuchae is working and trying to help give which is much more than many men do. Leave them alone at their job they have their life to live. We all undergo to broach with poor decisions that we have made in our lives and most of the time we do not realize how bad of a decision it is until several years later. On Friday. August 17 my husband and I will celebrate twenty-two years of married life. I'd like to say it's been many years of joy and bliss.. but alas.. that is not the case. We undergo probably spent more years pondering the purpose of our marriage and whether we ought to be married than we've had years of being "happy". It has been a rough go of it. I think "happy" is not all it's cut out to be... What has made it difficult? Well a be of things. My mother. As I've mentioned in a previous bring together of posts. Thankfully NOT his family who undergo been wonderful and who undergo been real family to me us our kids. No. The challenges have come from things desire: alcoholism and thankfully recovery (not me); illness and death (FIL and BIL and my mother); finances - that's the big one. I keep thinking it's only money - but the lack of really sucks. I convey REALLY REALLY REALLY...; and of course raising kids. But through it all there has been: friendship like mutual give kindness. We don't always see eye to eye. I like to construe he likes to watch TV - that's a big one too. And he didn't marry a priest but in time his wife became one. THAT was huge. However over time he has become my biggest supporter. My ministry in the parish is really a aggroup ministry with my preserve. He works almost as hard as I do to help us live into our hopes dreams and goals. While I'm at the altar he's at the door welcoming folks in and making sure people have what they need. It's really amazing. And he listens to all my sermons. Sunday after Sunday for almost 10 years. He's become a pretty good "critic".. and I take seriously what he says about others when they lecture (like our students and deacons). Anyway here we are. 22 years. Friday he has to work most of the day and then also at his second job that night. I think we'll have some measure to act the dogs out for walk in the afternoon. On Sat we'll go to an art bring together (kind of an annual anniversary tradition) between the funeral I have in the morning and his night time job. Then on Sunday we have a family birthday party. That's life. Twenty two years of marriage. I've known him for 24 years almost half my life half of his. I'm glad we've made it past the years when I thought the only say was divorce. Yeah. I've been there several times. And this is not to dish break it's sometimes the alter choice or at least the choice that is made. I could undergo made it. I would undergo been ok if I had. It's not like I made the "exceed" choice.. it's just the decision I made... But. At least I can say our marriage is strong not perfect but good enough. So. Here's to 22 years and 22 more. 'cuz now I'm sure I'm in it for the long haul... I like this post mompriest. The honesty of it--yes like diane said you're so "clear-eyed." Your preserve sounds like a great guy. You have in mind that he works two jobs and is in recovery. Big things there. My preserve jokes about being "the preacher's wife." I can't say it gets harder with time just that some times are hard others not so much...   Everyone was so preoccupied with 9-11 that his special day got overlooked. Because Wed is perform night and we won't have much time to celebrate we took him out for dinner at La Mesa.  We like La Mesa.. but after measure night. I think I realized it's not the best displace for us to get together someone's birthday.  We got there too often and it just doesn't seem very special. And M would absolutely strangle any of us if we tell them it's his birthday.  He absolutely abhors the idea of the employees coming out to sing to him.  And it's not just a "I'll be embarrassed" aversion he thinks it's very rude to the other customers in the restaurant.. much on the same level as a screaming baby that the parents evaluate will change state up if they do by it. So we enjoyed dinner but also teased him some that we were going to tell them.. then he would undergo to wear the big red sombrero while they sang some Mexican birthday song to him.  Happy Birthday M!!!!!  I don't desire the employees singing happy birthday either.  I think it's a horrible thing to do to someone you affirm to like.  I threatened GMan and the boys last week when we went out.  So help me..... if anyone sings to me you're going to pay!  I declare!
